Katie's Canine Klubhouse, a dog day care, boarding, training and grooming facility at 5144 Douglas Ave, is collecting items for the pets awaiting adoption at H.O.P.E. Safehouse.

Needed are packs of paper towels, blankets, cat litter, and cat food. Science Diet, Fromm or Iams dry dog foods, leather or nylon leashes and other products needed to care for dogs and cats. They also need office supplies, toilet paper, copier paper, tape, coffee filters and coffee. General supplies needed include: Comet, Lysol, Fabreeze, dishwashing liquid and brown paper grocery bags. The donations can be dropped off from Monday through Friday 6:30 AM until 6 PM at KCK now through the end of the year.

H.O.P.E. Safehouse, Inc. (Help for Orphaned Pets through Education) is a non-profit, all volunteer animal care organization, a ‘safehouse’ dedicated to the care and re-socialization of lost, injured, neglected, and abandoned pets. Through education and example, they extend the qualities of safety, shelter and compassion to all animals under their care, in homes, on the streets and in the wild.
