Caledonia Christmas Lights Need Your Votes

Three Caledonia residents have uploaded pictures of their Christmas lights for Patch's Deck the House contest. We'd love to see more—especially since there's $100,000 on the line for the Racine Unified School District.

A little friendly competition never hurts, especially when there’s $100,000 on the line!

So if you think your holiday decorations are the best in town, upload a picture of your house and enter our Deck the House Contest. And don’t worry about all those lights racking up the utility bill because if you’re voted a finalist Patch will give you up to $500 to cover the expense.

Mike Pikula uploaded the above picture to our contest—and if you look closely you can see there's a direction to tune your radio to 99.7 FM, presumably for some auditory Christmas spirit to go along with the lights. He also has posted video of the Jamestown subdivision light show on Facebook.

We know some of you out there may have decorations up that aren’t as extravagant as these.  That’s OK! We’d still love to have a photo of your house in the gallery so we can show Caledonia's awesome holiday spirit.

Have fun and happy holidays!

You can see my contest entry in the Jamestown subdivision. It is just east of the 38 and K roundabout. The lights are choreographed to music - you can hear the songs by tuning your radio to 99.7 FM. There are over 20 songs in the show this year.

6509 Williamsburg Way - but the display is in the back yard. Enter the subdivision on Taurus - it goes between two ponds - display will be on the left hand side,

This is one of the best light displays that go to music I've seen in the area. It's a must see.
