Two boys in two separate incidents told police Thursday that a man in an SUV tried getting them to come into his car. 

The first incident occured about 3:45 p.m., Racine police said in a release, when a 12-year-old boy was walking home from Starbuck Middle School, near Republic Avenue and Ohio Street. The boy told police a newer model, gold-colored Mercedes-Benz SUV pulled across the sidewalk, blocking his path. The boy told officers the driver made sexually-suggestive motions to the victim, and spoke with him briefly. 

The boy ran away, and the vehicle left, heading south on 21st Street. 

A few minutes later, a 17-year-old boy walking near 17th and Ohio streets reported a similar incident.

The teenager said the same vehicle and suspect pulled up alongside him. The driver made sexually-oriented comments to him, and then drove east on 17th Street. 

The suspect is described as a white male, between the ages of 27 and 35, with a chubby face and neck. The boys said he was wearing a brown leather coat, and was driving a gold Mercedes-Benz SUV. 

The Racine Police Department encourages parents to speak with their children about talking to strangers and remind them never to go with anyone they do not know. Parents should report suspicious persons or activity to the Racine Police Department.
