Clif "Red" Heister, A Man Who Led A Magic-Filled Life, Dies At 62
Clif "Red" Heister died of a heart attack early this week. He dazzled children and adults for years with his jokes, stories and magic. He was also dedicated to his family.
Longtime magician, joke teller and singer Clif "Red" Heister, 62, of Caledonia, died of a heart attack on Monday.
Heister entertained thousands of children for over 50 years with his magic show at a variety of events including the Racine County Fair with Rick Rogers.
According to his obituary, Heister was married to Patsy Weyhrauch for 39 years. Patsy and Red have a son, John (Lori) Heister and a daughter, Jenifer Heister.
Clif and John both earned the rank of Eagle Scout, which was the first time a father and a son were able to do so within the same troop.
Funeral services for Clif will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday at Purath Strand Funeral Home, 3915 Douglas Ave. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
