Girl Robbed As She Left Caledonia Festival

The boys got away with $10.

 

A 14-year-old girl was robbed and pushed by a teenage boy, who may have had a gun, at 11:02 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 4433 Douglas Ave.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, the girl was walking to her mother’s car when four boys stood around her. One of them grabbed her purse and told her “not to talk or scream and to hand over her purse.” The girl let go of the purse. The boy pushed the girl and told her to stand by the fence line.

After dumping the contents of the purse out, and took $10. The boy that took the purse from her lifted his shirt and she saw what she thought was a gun. After the boys left, the girl found a police officer.

Police are still investigating the case.
