Six candidates running for governor in Wisconsin's recall elections took part in a town hall-style forum at the George Bray Community Center in Racine.
Patch blogged live from the event and is now replaying the blog.
All four Democrats who are running for governor in the May 8 recall primary are were attendance: Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, Secretary of State Doug La Follette, and state Sen. Kathleen Vinehout. Hari Trivedi, an independent candidate for governor, and Arthur Kohl-Riggs, a Republican candidate, also were in attendance.
Thanks. We'll email you the next time we update this story.

They need to be working together not fighting each other to make sure that the republicans can't pull their underhanded tricks in this election. If they really want to improve the state ban together as a team.

Yeah, that'll work Norma. Unless the left can find some other arcane provision to exploit in their Mother of all Mulligans, one that allows for 4 people to serve as Governor simultaneously (In lieu of that, look to China perhaps? See how they did it? They had their "Gang of Four"), any so called "cooperation" is going to involve some back room dealing that predetermines a "winner" and a complete suspension of their ingrained political nature by four seasoned, rabid pols.
Keep dreaming.

If you mean raising taxes and going back to billion dollar shortfalls as good, then yes, they should work together on that because it's sure going to be hard to win an election on raising taxes...

And how does Tom Barrett run against governer walker when he used the governer's policies to save Milwaukee over 22 million dollars this year

What a ridiculous blog... "we need to raise taxes and get back that 3.6 billion dollar deficit". That's all I heard from the "candidates" for governer. I can't wait until Walker wins again and leads this state towards prosperity!

These Democrats claim Gov. Walker decimated education. Let's look at a quote from Waukesha School Superintendent Todd Gray from the April 19th Waukesha Freeman.
"We're very confident that we're in a very good place, we don't have any layoffs coming nor do we have any expected program reductions. " This after they erased a $9.3 million deficit using Gov. Walkers ACT 10. That's $9.3 million in one school district alone....part of the $1 Billion saved in this state.
Instead of facing a nonsense recall, Governor Scott Walker should get a parade in every city, town and village in this state. At least the ones who didn't extend the union contracts before ACT 10 was implemented.

Keith, you obviously don't realize that the 9.3 million is the teacher's and WEAC's by right. Who cares if the property taxes make up the difference. Those who can't afford an increase are going through foreclosure anyways. We need to spend more than we really need to because our teacher's are special.
Thank GOD for Scott Walker!
