I got this letter from Scott Warner, which I thought I'd share with you:
All of the girls seemed to have a good time and I heard nothing but positive comments about Crawford Park and especially the Daniel Wyatt Memorial Ballpark and the new concession stand. This came from parents from around the county and truly made me proud to be part of Caledonia Softball and the Village of Caledonia.
I wanted to send you this note first to hopefully thank publicly all of the great volunteers that gave their time to make such a great event possible. We had upwards of 150 girls between the ages of 8and 10 years-old playing fastpitch softball at the park from Thursday through Sunday, not to mention all of the families and friends that showed up to support their players. I was hoping to congratulate all of the great young ladies who braved the heat to compete in this event and the families who made time out of their busy schedules to get the girls to Caledonia and to watch them play their hearts out.
And third I wanted to give a special congratulations to Coach Scott Dineen and the Caledonia Daydreamers who won first place for the second year in a row. Second place went to the Sturtevant Starz and third place went to the Raymond Thunder.

Warner also wanted to share: This week we are hosting the Minor League tournament at Crawford and Cliffside Parks Thursday through Sunday. This tournament is made up of 34 teams of boys ages 8-10 from the same communities. It is our largest undertaking yet and we hope the community comes out to support the boys as they did for the girls.

Thank you, Denise! Thank you to everyone who made this tournament a success and thank you also to all fo the volunteers who help with Caledonia Baseball/Softball over the year. For anyone who hasn't seen the Daniel Wyatt Memorial Ballpark and Crawford Park now that it is completed, I encourage you to come out and see what a great facility we have in Caledonia. Plus, you can't beat watching all of the kids having fun and playing their hearts out. This is what baseball is supposed to be!
