Mount Pleasant police have confirmed the body found Sunday afternoon was that of a suicide victim.

Sgt. David Stroupe told Patch that an older, white male was found on Kinzie Avenue Sunday afternoon between Emmertsen and Sunnyslope.

The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of the family. Police are also not releasing how the victim died.

Racine County Medical Examiner Tom Terry has not made a final determination on the cause of death, Stroupe said.
