Racine Symphony to Host Young Artists' Competition
Children will win cash prizes and the opportunity to perform with the orchestra.
The Racine Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artists’ competition will feature local high school students from southeastern Wisconsin and a cash award will be given.
The competition begins at 1 p.m. Feb. 6 at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 South Green Bay Rd.
Eighteen Young artists will perform classical pieces at three free events:
- 1 p.m. Feb. 6 at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 South Green Bay Rd.
- 2 p.m. March 20 at First Presbyterian Church. 716 College Ave.
- 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. March 22 at Grace Church. 3626 Green Bay Rd.
Students also may have the opportunity to perform with the Racine Symphony Orchestra at the Fifth grade concert, the season finale and the Youth String Invitational on April 16.
