Racine Tea Party Sets Forum On Health Care
The event will feature speakers from the CATO Institute, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, State Rep. Robin Vos, and State Sen. Leah Vukmir.
The Racine Tea Party is hosting a public forum on the implications of the affordable care act from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 13 at South Hills Country Club, 3047 SE Frontage Rd.
The event will feature: Mike Tanner, of the CATO Institute, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Janesville), State Rep. Robin Vos (R-Rochester), State Sen. Leah Vukmir (R-Wauwatosa), and conservative radio talk show host Vicki McKenna.
“The Racine TEA Party wants the public to understand more about this massive new law, how it affects them and what it means to block a state-run exchange,” according to the release.
President Obama pushed through the 2,500 plus page, $1.93 trillion Healthcare Law with enormous tax implications and a loss of personal choice – on a partisan vote in the middle of a recession, according to a press release by the Racine Tea Party.
The vehicle to deliver the “government-regulated and standardized” healthcare plans is a state-based healthcare exchange. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (along with 34 other states) said he’s blocking the implementation of a state exchange and has “defaulted” the program to the federal government.
“Every day seems to bring a new revelation about how the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka,” Tanner stated in the release. “Obamacare, will affect taxpayers, businesses, doctors and patients. Every American needs to know exactly what is, and is not, part of this law in order to prepare themselves for the changes to come.”

That mans sign says it all. Obama is taking away our freedom a little bit at a time.
Next up, gun control. My prediction:
Higher taxes on everything to do with guns,
mostly ammo.
This federal gov't is out of control and the worst part is the media is helping!
If you go to this meeting I'm sure you will be appalled at what you learn. Just don't look for the media to report it.

Anything with the word Obama in it scares the hell out of me. They removed the word nuclear from nuclear magnetic resonance imaging because people were afraid of anything that had the word nuclear in it, so we need to remove the word obama from everything as well. Call it what it is. Healthcare.

To all those that voted for Obama, how are you enjoying the payroll TAX increase that you got slammed with, or the 20%+ increases in healthcare premiums, a medical device excise tax that even your vet has to pay and then pass on to YOU in the form of higher animal care costs, and increasing restrictions on personal freedoms? Unless you are already dead, are your beginning to feel that really don't have a friend in the Whitehouse?

Right-wing nut jobs will be out in full force.
We should have Universal Healthcare like every other developed nation.
Those that have been denied health insurance appreciate this step in the right direction and I'm sure find your ignorant protest to be inane.

Obama won, so get over it.
The Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act, so get over that, too.
Stop watching Fox News and get educated.

Just a bunch of angry, old white guys getting together to bitch.
Times are changing, but these whiners want to go back to an idyllic time when women and people of color had no voice.
