Recall Recount Day 3: Wanggaard Net Gain of Ten

Half-way through the third day of the recall recount for the 21st District Senate race, Racine County Clerk Wendy Christensen and her crew have completed seven municipalities.

By the time lunch rolled around on Friday, Republican Van Wanggaard picked up a net 10 votes amongst the seven municipalities where the recall recount has completed.

Wanggaard, who lost to Democrat John Lehman in his bid to keep the 21st District seat on June 5, filed a petition June 8 with the state Government Accountability Board asking for a recount. Wanggaard lost by 834 votes — with Lehman receiving 36,351 votes and Wanggaard getting 35,517 votes.

Racine County Clerk Wendy Christensen has 13 days to complete the recount, which would take her to July 2.

Patch visited the Racine County Courthouse for an update on the process to recount almost 73,000 votes for the historic Wisconsin recall elections. At this same time Thursday, Racine County Clerk Wendy Christensen and her crew had gone through about 10,000 votes with Wanggaard picking up a net total of four votes.

The process as of noon Friday, Christensen said, is moving along more smoothly.

"We're making up a little bit of time from the first two days when we were getting the system down," she explained. "Plus, we've completed some of the smaller communities, and that makes a difference, too."

Here are the totals:

Dover: Wanggaard 1,156, up from 1,154; Lehman 597, down from 598

Norway: Wanggaard 3,169, down from 3,172; Lehman 1,170, down from 1,172

Raymond: Wanggaard 1,466, up from 1,465; Lehman 720, down from 721

Yorkville: Wanggaard 1,092, no change; Lehman 516, no change

Elmwood Park: Wanggaard 150 no change; Lehman 149 no change

North Bay: Wanggaard 96, no change; Lehman 67, down from 68

Caledonia: Wanggaard 7,765, up from 7,757; Lehman 5,415, up from 5,412

Deputy clerks and volunteers were just getting started on Union Grove and Sturtevant as the close of the lunch hour.

Editor's Note: We made a mathematical error. Wanggaard actually has a net gain of 10 votes and not seven as originally reported. We have made the correction and regret the error.

It is self-evident that the Communities that surround the City of Racine don't share in the warped and twisted values of John Lehman. All the votes that will push John Lehman over the top will be found in the City of Racine - from the Voters (and phantom voters) who receive kickbacks, in the form of tax funded wealth transfers, from the tax and social policies of the radical, John Lehman.

Those who control the votes in the City of Racine saw to it that what was needed to be done was done.

Taxation by mis-representation.

My suggestion for all Comunities outside the City of Racine is that they withdraw from the District John Lehman represents as the election was cheated and the radical and oppressive socialist policies of John Lehman do not represent them. Communities need to exercise the right of self-defense from LOOTERS like John Lehman who would abuse political privilege to oppress, abuse and nullify property rights via punitive confiscatory taxation.

and why are you more important than other Racine County residents who don't share your strong feelings?
