I don't believe it's a conspiracy, Michael. I believe it is a descision to cover the candidates who truly have the chance of winning.

I do agree with your point, though. I think this election will be so close the third party votes will have an impact - much like the Nader vote of 2004. History may prove me wrong & I'll then eat my words, but so far I am pretty sure of it.

@Free Thought Troy I know it is not a conspiracy- I am trying to shame Patch into giving equal billing to the other candidates. They absolutely need exposure.

As for the election: I determined about 2 weeks ago that Obama will win the electoral college vote. I have no crystal ball, but I think Romney will have to win too many battleground states.

FreeThought Toy: Yes we should have less choice in elections because the only the all mighty candidates of the two party duopoly are valid. Maybe we should pass a law to make it illegal for anyone except members of those two parties to run. After all nobody else has a chance.

Sarcasm aside, if you really believe that third party candidates do not have a chance then you have to admit that we do not really have democracy in this country. Then ask yourself why you continue to support a party that stacks the deck against choice, especially at the Presidential level? When the media buys into that argument it becomes self fulfilling.

The myth that the results of the 2000 or 2004 elections were the fault of Nader is perpetuated to continue to own your vote.

I never vote for the 'unopposed'. I'm trying to defray the cost of the recent statewide recall election by extending the life of the little marker pen.
