On Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 9 a.m., Advanced Pain Management (APM) will host its second annual Pain Awareness Run/Walk at Greenfield Park and Golf Course.
Pain Awareness Run participants will follow the perimeter of the golf course and then merge onto paved trails in the park, where the 3K Walk will take place. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome at the 3K event. For the safety of the runners, Greenfield Golf Course will be open exclusively for the race in the morning and closed to golfers from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
The Pain Awareness Run/Walk entry fee is $25 and includes a post-race picnic and award presentation. Registration is available on www.active.com and on www.painawarenessrun.com. All proceeds from the Pain Awareness Run/Walk will benefit the American Chronic Pain Association to educate, support and advocate for people affected by pain. Gov. Walker has declared September Pain Awareness Month in Wisconsin.
