Just in time for “back to school”, Stan’s Fit for Your Feet, with locations in Brookfield, Greenfield and Glendale, is adding a new line of shoes - Clarks Kids – especially for children.
According to Jim Sajdak, president of Stan’s Fit for Your Feet “Clarks are wildly popular among men and women because of their style and comfort, so it only makes sense to expand our kids’ offerings to include the Clarks’ kid’s line as well. They have great shoes for first walkers through grade school in all sizes and widths.”
In celebration of its expanded Clarks’ line, from August 13 to August 31, customers who purchase a pair of Clarks Kids shoes will receive a free Clarks’ watch.
Clarks will also be visiting the Stan’s Fit For Your Feet store in Glendale at 505 W. Silver Spring Drive, across from the Bayshore Town Center, on August 16; the Stan’s Fit For Your Feet store in Greenfield in the Layton Plaza, at 7405 W. Layton Avenue, on August 17; and Stan’s Fit For Your Feet store in Brookfield in The Plaza at at17155 W. Bluemound Road, on August 18. On these days, there will be additional in-store promotions and giveaways.
From now until September 11, all three Stan’s Fit For Your Feet stores are hosting a “Design-A-Shoe” Contest. Children up to age 12 can pick up a shoe template at any of the stores and then create their own unique design on it. The grand prize will be a free Clarks shoes for the whole family; the first prize for each of the three Stan’s locations will be one free pair of kid’s shoes (valued up to $70) and the second prize, also awarded at each of the Stan’s locations will be a $25 Stan’s Gift Card. Official rules are available at Stan’s.
Tips for Back to School Shoe Shopping
According to Sajdak, who is also a certified pedorthist, “When you take your kids “back to school” shoe shopping, you should always have both their feet measured. At Stan’s all of our fit specialists are specially trained to fit kids feet so they are prepared for all their activities. Then, when they try on their new shoes, their toes should be approximately one inch or more way from the tip of their shoes. Also, I always tell parents to consider buying shoes with Velcro or laces so you can help to ensure a proper fit in the shoe’s width. Next, think about how the child’s shoes will be used, and then buy shoes which will meet the appropriate challenges of durability, breathability and comfort.”
The Stan’s Fit For Your Feet stores have been serving Greater Milwaukee for 62 years. Their Brookfield, Greenfield and Glendale are open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or Sundays from Noon to 5 p.m. From August 13 to August 31, customers will receive a $5 discount on every pair of kid’s shoes purchased (some restrictions apply), and a percentage of all “back to school” children’s shoe sales will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Stan’s is locally owned and operated, and specializes in quality footwear from around the world for children and adults. Its three stores are home to Wisconsin’s largest collection of regular and hard to find shoe sizes. For more information visit www.stansfootwear.com
