DESCRIPTION:"At a Global Crossroads: Turn Against War" is the name for th
 is 180-mile march from Madison\, Wisconsin\, to Chicago\, where a milita
 ry summit of the NATO countries will be held 20-21 May. The march calls 
 for the withdrawal of NATO troops (including those of the US) from Afgha
 nistan\, a halt to drone attacks in the region\, and the reconstruction 
 of the country.\nThe march has been organized by Chicago-based Voices fo
 r Creative Nonviolence. This organization\, which follows in the traditi
 on of Gandhi and Martin Luther King\, is headed by Kathy Kelly\, who has
  been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.\nMarchers will arrive in Raci
 ne on Friday 11 May for a welcoming potluck and presentations at St Andr
 ew's Lutheran Church\, 1015 4-Mile Road\, Racine\, at 5:30 pm\, followed
  by an Afghanistan teach-in at 7:00 pm. Marchers will be the guests of t
 he Racine Coalition for Peace and Justice and of the local community. Al
 l are invited to participate in the Friday evening events and in at leas
 t a portion of the march. The marchers will leave on Saturday 12 May at 
 7:00 am from St Andrew's to walk through downtown Racine and on to Kenos
 ha.&nbsp\;\n\nVoices for Creative Nonviolence has deep\, long-standing r
 oots in active nonviolent resistance to U.S. war-making. Begun in the su
 mmer of 2005\, Voices draws upon the experiences of those who challenged
  the brutal economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. and U.N. against the 
 Iraqi people between 1990 and 2003.&nbsp\;\nThe Racine Coalition for Pea
 ce and Justice is an initiative to promote citizen understanding\, raise
  public awareness\, and encourage participation in the democratic proces
 s for the purpose of achieving peace and just relations among peoples an
