Bird lovers - Come to scenic Trout Ponds/Prairie to a enjoy a morning of bird watching led by Rick Fare of Hoy Audubon.
Over 200 neo-tropical birds are migrating north and will be breeding in Wisconsin and Canada. Many will stop along the way to refuel on the great number of insects that are available at this time of year. Warblers, vireos, flycatchers, tanagers, orioles, hummingbirds, and some thrushes can be expected. In addition, many local birds such as cardinals, chickadees, bluebirds, and herons may be seen nesting. Red-tailed hawks and turkey vultures may be seen patrolling the skies. Bring your binoculars and cameras and boots if ground is damp.
