  Avenue is holding a fund raiser for dog rescue groups on Saturday\, Jul
 y 31 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Activities throughout the afternoon in
 clude an appearance by the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club&rsquo\;s Famo
 us Racing Sausages&trade\; who will kick off &ldquo\;Scooter&rsquo\;s An
 nual Wiener Dog Race&rdquo\; at Noon. Dachshunds\, 6 months and older\, 
 are invited to race. Cost is $1.00 per dog and applications are availabl
 e at Katie&rsquo\;s now until 11:00 AM race day.\n&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&
 nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Other activities during the afternoon include a pet
  communicator offering readings\; pet portraits by Swanson Art works\; I
 nnovative Wellness Solutions\; Young Life Essential Oils\; Candid Treats
  and others.\n&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; HOPE Safehouse 
 and Orphan Canines\, as well as a number of breed-specific rescue groups
  will be on site. &ldquo\;We hope people considering adding a dog to the
 ir family will consider a rescued dog. With proper care and training the
 y make wonderful pets\,&rdquo\; said Katie Lenon Nevarro\, owner of KCK.
  &ldquo\;It&rsquo\;s an opportunity to give a dog another chance at a go
 od life.&rdquo\;\n&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Volunteers are als
