DESCRIPTION:Sugarin' Off Pancake Breakfast returns to River Bend!\nSunday
 \, March 3\, 7\, &amp\; 10 - 9am to noon\n$8 adults\, $4 children\, and 
 free for children under 3\nAfter an All You Can Eat pancake breakfast\, 
 our naturalist volunteers will lead visitors of all ages through the woo
 ds to observe and learn the process of maple sap collection and syrup pr
 oduction.\nVolunteers will tap 70 maple trees on the nature center groun
 ds and collect sap to make the syrup. &nbsp\;See the sap boil over a roa
 ring fire as it concentrates into &ldquo\;liquid gold&rdquo\;. When the 
 sap is boiled\, the sap&rsquo\;s naturally occurring water evaporates as
  steam\, leaving the sap and its sweetness to concentrate into maple syr
 up.\nPure maple syrup is 100% maple sap that has been boiled down\; 50 g
 allons of sap makes one gallon of syrup. A gallon of pure maple syrup we
 ighs 11 pounds!\nTake a stroll through the woods on a maple sugar tour t
 o see how maple syrup is made\, and join us the first 3 Sunday&rsquo\;s 
 in March for the return of All You Can Eat pancake breakfast at River Be
 nd!
