The City of Racine has been awarded a Federal 2nd Chance Initiative Grant of $240,831.

Mayor John Dickert invites you to attend the announcement of an advanced initiative to help some of Racine’s citizens catch up with the mainstream economy.  The $240,831 award will provide assistance to returning citizens to successfully integrate back into the community.  The Second Chance Program, being led by Racine Vocational Ministry, brings together a network of community resource providers, law enforcement and city government.

 

The announcement event will take place on Wednesday October 2nd from 6pm to 7pm at Festival Hall in downtown Racine.

The Mayor is inviting you to join him to celebrate this award and to learn more about this initiative to promote solutions to reducing inner-city unemployment, closing the skill gap for some of the hardest to employ, lowering the crime rate and reducing social injustice.
