Power Restored To Most Homes After Violent Thunderstorms

The wind caused trees to crash down on telephone wires, transformers were sparking and at one time a telephone pole had started on fire.

Over 1,300 We Energies customers in Mount Pleasant, and a handful of customers in Franksville and Caledonia were without power since about midnight.

But by 6:30 a.m. utility crews had restored power to most areas.

Outages had been reported along Five Mile Road near North Meadows Drive, and on Foley Road just south of County Line Road in Caledonia; Kraut Road and Borgardt Road, and near the Frontage Road and Golf Road in Franksville; and along Highway 20 near Highway H.
