Buy a T-Shirt, Help Support Sheriff K9 Program

The Racine County Sheriff's Office is selling t-shirts to help support the department's K9 program.

K9 officers provide a valuable service to law enforcement, and the Sheriff's department is no different.

To help support the cost of care for these unique officers, the Racine County Sheriff's Office is selling t-shirts for $10 for youth and $15 for adults.

"The funds will help support training, equipment, care and basic needs of our current K9, Friday, as well as the two new dogs our handlers will meet in the (coming weeks)," RCSO Investigator Tracy Hintz told Patch.

Printmasters, 627 High Street, in Racine, is donating the t-shirts and the artwork that prominently announces a person's support of the Sheriff's K9 program.

Carlson Roofing celebrated it's centennial this summer, in part, by writing a check for $12,500 to add to an anonymous donation of $5,000 for one K9. Hintz said the second dog is also being purchased and trained because of donations.

"(It's) all donations! We really have a wonderful community who support our efforts," she said.

All the money raised through the t-shirt sale will support the county's K9 program.
