Dogs Have an Egg-citing Good Time at Easter Egg Hunt

Area businesses provide their canine friends with a little holiday spirit.

You can't rain on a canine parade and get away with it.

Despite  the  reservations of many of their owners, a number of dogs attended the Easter Egg Hunt at 3 Goldens and a Gator, 5200 Douglas Avenue, Saturday, April 16.  While it may have seemed that their people wanted to shop and stay warm, this bunch of puppies knew this was their day.  Everyone, including the Easter Bunny, was outside hunting Easter Eggs in the lawn and they weren't the least bit intimidated by the rain and cold.

The second annual Easter egg hunt was sponsored by 3 Goldens and a Gator, Floral Arrangements by Eileen and Katie's Canine Klubhouse.  The recipients of the donations from this event are Orphan Kanines and Hope Safe House, two area animal rescue organizations. All three businesses are located in Caledonia, Katies' just a few hundred feet south of  3 Goldens and a Gator and Eileen's, which share an address. The lawn was full of colorful Easter eggs, each loaded with treats, coupons or winners of the gift baskets one provided by each of the businesses.

Happy Paws Bakery from Kenosha was also on hand selling no salt, sugar, and preservative -free dog treats that are all made from human grade ingredients. It was a fun day for dogs and their families, and most importantly, no one chased the Easter Bunny.
