Franksville Fight Posted on YouTube, Girls Face Charges

A brother of one of the girls also egged the two on during the fight.

A 14-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl were arrested today for battery and disorderly conduct for fighting in a park.

And they would have gotten away with it if someone wouldn't have posted a recording of the fight on YouTube.

The two girls have not been officially been charged, but David Malison, an investigator with the Caledonia Police Department, said the case has been referred to the Racine County District Attorney’s Office for charges.

The fight, which was recording and uploaded to YouTube, happened at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at Franksville Park, 9614 Northwestern Ave.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, the 14-year-old girl had a scratch on her cheek and a large bump on her forehead, and the 17-year-old girl had scratches and a black eye.

The two girls fought over comments made on Facebook. Police watched the video, which has been taken down, and noted there was a man telling the two girls to keep fighting as he gave instructions on how to fight. He was also seen holding a beer bottle. Another girl marked the fight in rounds.

A witness told police the fight “was a fair fight and nobody really got hurt.”

The girls’ 21-year-old brother was charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, disorderly conduct and two counts of bail jumping.
