Get Out: Music to Your Ears

Why go? Several times a week, Hot Shop Glass Studio and Gallery introduces students to the art and craft of glassblowing with its popular workshop, Exploring Glass. Exploring Glass is the perfect learning opportunity for beginners, or even established artists looking to try something new.

Why go? The Red Barn Theatre at Apple Holler presents: "The Honeymooners on the Disoriented Express."  "The Honeymooners Express" is described as an interactive murder mystery experience.  Dates and times for shows are not guaranteed, but are dependent on advance reservations.

Where and when? Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Ave # 1, Racine, 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. March 18, noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. March 19 and March 20.

Why go? From the Racine Theatre Guild website: "Peter Hatcher struggles with an assignment to write about the most important thing that happened to him during the fourth grade. This is a daunting task, given how much took place, particularly when dealing with his toddler terror of a brother, Fudge. Peter always has to help with Fudge, who gets all the attention, while Peter gets all the blame. It's enough to make a kid feel like a fourth grade nothing! How can Peter get his parents to pay attention to him for a change?"

Where and when? Gifford School, 8332 Northwestern Ave, Franksville, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 19.

Why go? Come one, come all to a day of family fun!  Carnival games moon bounce, cakewalk, food, raffle and prizes.  Proceeds support the Gifford Elementary School PTA.

Cost: 25 cents to $1

Where and when? Grace Church, 3626 State Road 31, 9:15 to 10 am, and 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. March 22

Why go? The Racine Symphony Orchestra's annual concert for fifth-grade students showcases more than 1,500 young musicians from public, private, parochial and home schools in the greater Racine area. Performers include Ryan Andersen, winner of this year's Young Artists Competition, and Shelby Harris, Artist in Residence. The 45-minute program will be conducted by Pasquale Laurino, the RSO's Artistic Director.
