More Wild Turkeys In Caledonia, But These Were Peaceful Birds
Caledonia may be sandwiched between two larger urban areas, but many wild animals find Caledonia a pretty cushy place to live -- including this wild turkey.
Caledonia Police Officer Jim Gardiner took this photo of a wild turkey and her baby on Five Mile Road just west of Highway 31.
Some of you may remember a few years ago that a couple of mischief-making turkeys met their demise -- courtesy of a DNR permit -- after they started attacking residents along Erie Street.
But rest assured, these turkeys are alive and well.
