Some Areas Flooded In Caledonia, And More Rain Coming

The rain continued today as April showers gave way to flooding in many areas of Caledonia.

By Tuesday morning, several areas in Caledonia were starting to flood as the area is now under a flood watch until Friday.

Along parts of the Root River near 6 Mile and Linwood Road, the river had already crested its banks. Along 5 Mile Road, between Highway 38 and Highway 31, a home with a pond in the front yard had spilled over and the water ran from a shallow ditch into the ditch along the road.

The front yard of a home on Foley and County Line Road was completely flooded, and a turkey sought shelter not far off of Foley Road as the rain pummeled the area.
