Almost 15,000 customers had been without power.

UPDATE: Power has been restored to most customers at about 12:15 p.m.

As Super Bowl preparations commenced, almost 15,000 We Energies customers lost power at about 10 a.m. this morning in the Caledonia, Franksville, Mt. Pleasant and west Racine area today.

Customers north of Highway 20, into the Hoods Creek, Franksville, just south of Four Mile Road, just to the east of Northwestern Ave. were affected by outage.

According to the We Energies website, the outage was caused by an equipment failure. At about 11:15 a.m., about half of those customers had their power restored.

Some customers reported loosing power only briefly, but thousands have been without power for more than an hour. Check back with Caledonia.Patch.com for more updates. I'll have more details from a company spokesperson.
