I took an hour-long walk through the River Bend Nature Center yesterday and thought I'd share the sights and sounds of the beginning of spring. The trees were skeletal.Β Their sinewy fingers were crooked and crippled from the heavy ice. Still, the sap from the sugar maples flowed, the ice had thawed and the birds had begun to sing. Spring's purpose had begun.
