2nd Annual Circles of Peace: Peace Puzzle-September 11-October 19
As a part of the 2nd Annual Circles of Peace, professional and amateur artists from Southeastern Wisconsin are invited to participate in a unique art experience. Anyone between the ages of 6 and 110 who likes to express themselves through art or writing is encouraged to participate.
Peace Learning Circles, Inc., in collaboration with the Kenosha Art Association, is pleased to announce an open call for one hundred artists, to participate in the creation of a 6 ½ sq. ft. Peace Puzzle that will be displayed in central locations in Kenosha and Racine during October, National Bullying Prevention Month.
Artists, students, and community members of all ages are each invited to paint one 7½” wooden puzzle piece that depicts the theme “What Peace Means to Me”. The Peace Puzzle Project will be promoted during the Circles of Peace 2012 events. The assembled Peace Puzzle will be on display at galleries in Racine and Kenosha from October 5 – 12. Friday, October 19 – Individual puzzle pieces will be framed and sold at a silent auction during the BeExposed Show.
