True Blood: Have Rocket Launcher, Will Travel

Lisa Brennen dishes about True Blood: Season 4, Episode 10, 'Burning Down the House'

Expected levels of carnage at the Tolerance festival kickoff this episode. People are getting murdered. Mind-controlled Vampires kill people everywhere, and instead of just mind-controlling Bill, Antonia throws her new Northman dog at him so there can be a vicious fight. Eric survives, but he gets his memory back. While his past has returned to him, his time with Sookie hasn’t been forgotten. Despite his memory returning, he still loves her and wants to hear that she still loves him. But Sookie just can’t return the favor. Instead, she has to say that she loves Bill too.

Moving onto more relationship issues, Jessica has no guilt about sleeping with Jason, but he’s a wreck over it. He regrets it immediately and doesn’t think he’ll be able to look his best friend in the eye ever again. He blames it on drinking Jessica’s blood and she’s pissed he would suggest he doesn’t have feelings for her. I don’t know, Jessica is pretty cocky lately and kind of immature. I’m really starting to dislike her character. Jason is so torn up about things that he begs Jessica to glamour him into forgetting what he did.

Also....horrible news, Tommy is dying in Alcide’s truck from being practically beaten to death by Marcus and his goons. Alcide wants to take him to the hospital but Tommy begs him to take him to Sam instead. Horrified to see his little brother dying, Sam immediately tries to get him some vampire blood. Tommy refuses, and Alcide tells Sam he has a right to choose when he should die.

Arlene and Terry catch Andy with V, and give him an ultimatum. Get rid of the dirty habit or never see your nieces and nephews again. (Is he their uncle? I don’t even know anymore.) Terry grabs him and takes him to their old tree fort for some target practice thus proving to Andy that he has a problem and needs to admit it. Terry, happy to have finally gotten his cousin to see the light, celebrates by letting him walk all the way home.

In another room, Holly and Tara decide to do an incantation to get the hell out of dodge. Their cumulative rage breaches Marnie’s protection spell and the two, along with Jesus, run like hell towards Sookie and friends. Just as they get to the outer ring though, Marnie kicks the spell up a notch and zaps everyone, but Jason back into her compound.

As night falls, Bill, Eric, Jessica and Pam suit up and arrive at the Moon Goddess to bomb Antonia/Marnie back to the Spanish Inquisition times. They have a rocket launcher and walk the most bad-ass, slow-mo power shot of a vampire pack since back in the days of Angel. This is gonna be good!
