Romney Only Choice for Seniors, Women, and Middle Class

Clearly Obama is bad for everone in the long run but Seniors, Women, & the Middle Class have no reason to support President Obama. Obama's Burger Flipping recovery is not cutting it.

It should be clear to all by now, that long term everyone is a loser if President Obama wins re-election. It is also clear from the Libya cover up that President Obama is unfit to be Commander in Chief. (1) He is now faced with only two choices in that cover up, admit he lied for weeks after the attack about the video being the cause, or declare he was derelict in his duty as President and plead genuine incompetence to explain his dishonesty. This issue alone should be enough reason to vote for Mitt Romney, but several groups have even stronger reasons t o support Romney.

Voters over 55 desperately need Mitt Romney to win. For this group Obamacare is a triple threat to Medicare. First Obamacare steals $716 billion from Medicare. While the GOP may leave some of those cuts in place it will likely be much less than $716 Billion. Second Obamacare sets up an advisory board that will be used to determine what services seniors will get in order to control the growth rate of Medicare. Third creating another entitlement program without enough funding creates more issues on keeping commitments made with existing entitlement programs as this will ensure a fiscal collapse.

Women as a group are treated by the Democratic Party in an insulting manner. They run commercials trying scare pro-choice women that somehow abortion or contraception will be outlawed if the GOP wins. The reality is the only major effect would be on the public funding for abortion.

Then Democrats use census data in a dishonest way to try to make women think there is this huge pay gap between women and men. Realty is the better studies that account for some obvious differences such as career choices, years of experience, hours of works, etc show a minimal pay gap. The idea that women get paid 77% of what men get paid defies logic. Many companies that understand the benefit of have diversity have been pushing to get more women for years; they cannot be doing this by paying them less. This dishonesty about the pay gap does a great disservice to dealing seriously with real discrimination issues. Democrats intentionally lie to women on this issue then pretend they are going to do something great to fix it. They brag about the Lilly Ledbetter Act to extend time to file lawsuit for pay discrimination cases. Reality is that only 35 cases have been filed, this hardly makes up for the millions of women who are unemployed because of the actions of the Obama administration.

President Obama also brags about free contraception, like that makes up for lower pay and lost jobs. Democrats assume women are stupid, based on statements at their convention and commercials. This insulting treatment of women by Democrats with their War on Women strategy is why the gender gap is gone. Polls show women and men have the same top issues and top on that list is the Economy and Debt. Clearly Romney is the only candidate with serious plans for the big issues for both women and men.

As Joe Biden explained “The middle class has been buried in the last four years.”.  The recovery has been so weak that programs like food stamps are increasing and average income has been dropping. Many of the jobs created are part time and the full time jobs are lower pay. This recovery should be referred to as Obama’s Burger Flipping recovery. During the recession the jobs lost were 19% High wage, 60% Middle wage, and 21% low wage. The recovery jobs have been 20% high wage, 22% medium wage, and 58% low wage jobs. So the low job growth has been dominated with low wage jobs replacing medium wage jobs.(2) Now with firing running the highest level in 2 years, unemployment claims at near recessionary levels, outlooks by companies increasingly lowered, and a slowing global economy it is clear the middle class needs competent leadership in Washington for which Romney is the only choice.

Obviously the list is endless of the groups that would benefit from a Romney victory, but the Democrats offer nothing of value for people concerned about Medicare, women, or the middle class. President Obama’s second term agenda plans to copy the failed ideas from his first term along with a tax increase. Again nothing any serious person believes will make things better. That is why Romney and the GOP campaign on fixing the big issues, while President Obama focuses on small issues like free contraceptives, Big Bird, and petty personal dishonest attacks on Mitt Romney. At this point President Obama’s only hope is getting uninformed voters to support him. This is why appearing on the View was more important than meeting with Netanyahu. This election is the starkest contrast in my lifetime only Carter versus Reagan comes close. As a nation we face extreme challenges that require leadership to avoid disaster and the only choice that even offers hope to meet those challenges is Mitt Romney.

Bren, What was the up-side of blaming the attack on a video made in the states? If every word, every step taken, has a consequence, why did the Obama administration pick such a stupid excuse?
