Caledonia's Lisa Brennan Joins with Friends at the Melting Pot in Brookfield
The fondue place allows for a casual and relaxing experience, Brennan says.
The Melting Pot, 19850 W. Bluemound Rd. in Brookfield, is a great escape to go with your friends for an enjoyable meal.
I often meet with friends, old co-workers, and college friends to catch up. This week I went up to meet with some of my parenting friends. Stacy Smith, Jill Davidson and I went up to the melting pot on Monday for Ladies' Night Out. You get to enjoy cheese fondue, salad and chocolate fondue for $16 per person. You can even add a petite entrée for $8, although that is a lot of food.
The melting pot is a place to go when you are not in a hurry and want to talk and bond with your friends. The wait staff at the restaurant is knowledgeable and a great asset to your experience.

The first course is the cheese course and you can pick from several different types. Then you are taught how to use the pot and told of countless items that are great to dip inside of the pot. You then have an excellent salad, followed by the chocolate fondue that also comes in many flavors. My favorite is the chocolate with peanut butter and the many dipping options from cheesecake, strawberries, and marshmallows.
The great thing about the experience for all of us was that we were able to manage our topics of conversation a little more effectively than we do other places. We can talk the whole day away with no problem. The spacing and the no rush atmosphere of the restaurant allows for the conversations to have a natural flow that seemed to go from school concerns, to politics, to everyday family life. Stacy and Jill loved the food and the whole experience, and plan to go back. The favorite fondue of all involved was the chocolate, yeah!
