At Douglas Avenue Diner, everything old is new again, from hand-formed burgers to eggs and corned beef hash, all served in the 50s style dining room.

Tom Tohovitis, owner of the 6-year-old Douglas Avenue Diner, can't pick a favorite thing on the menu. 

"The hamburgers, the breakfasts, the paninis," he said. "The shakes. They're old-fashioned, and we make 15 different shakes."

And he would have kept going.

It's the quality, he said. "We have different breads, toppings, cheeses. It melts in your mouth."

New customer Tim McGuire said that's exactly right. He moved to Caledonia nine days ago to take a job at Mitchell International Airport, and has eaten at the diner six times.

"Everything they serve here is great," he said.
