New 24-hour Day Care Center Receives Plan Commission Approval

Facility would be housed inside the New Omega Church.

Caledonia may be home to a new 24-hour seven days a week day care center, which would be housed inside the New Omega Church, 5731 Northwestern Ave.

Shanta McKinney, the owner of the business, presented a concept plan to the Plan Commission last week. Childcare Kids Success Learning Center would provide care for up to 50 children per shift. McKinney told Plan Commission members that she would like to have the business open by June.

The project received approval. McKinney will need to come back for a conditional use public hearing, which has not been set yet.
