Oh Dennis' Restaurant Owner Dies Of A Heart Attack

"He made everybody in the restaurant feel like they were family when he made his rounds," said Jody Tarwid, DeMark's daughter and a 46-year-old Racine hairstylist.

restaurant owner, Dennis DeMark, died suddenly on Saturday at the restaurant.

He died of a heart attack. DeMark was 71-years-old. He was best known as the "rib man" and was well respected for his culinary prowess.

“He made everybody in the restaurant feel like they were family when he made his rounds,” said Jody Tarwid, DeMark’s daughter and a 46-year-old Racine hairstylist. “He had a great smile and he laughed from the belly up. He had a real hearty laugh.”

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Maresh-Mereidth & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St., with Deacon Russell Missureli officiating. A private interment will be held. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from noon until time of service at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home
