Vote for the Best St. Patrick's Day Spot in Town

Cast your vote for the best local place for a St. Patrick's Day blowout.

St. Patrick's Day is almost here, with its promise of shamrocks, corned beef and Guinness.

If you were going to celebrate all things Irish, where would you go? We've collected some of the most likely spots for an Irish bash; now we need you to vote on the best place in Caledonia, Mt. Pleasant and Sturtevant for a St. Patrick's Day celebration.

In addition to voting in the poll below, consider leaving a rating or review on your favorite spot's Places directory page on Patch. It will help your neighbors know what's great about the local establishments.

The voting period closes at 9 a.m. Friday. The winner will be chosen by Patch editors by noon, based on poll votes, comments and reviews in the Places directory.

Here's everyone in the running:

Anyone have any recommendations for delicious corned beef and cabbage? Thanks.

I always bought Farmland brand from Piggly Wiggly. I would rinse off most of the red bloody gunk (sorry I didn't know what else to call it) and put the meat in a slow cooker with a little water at the bottom. I never used the seasoning pack as there was more than enough flavor in the meat. It is a taste preference as I don't like those spices. About 1/2 way through the cooking process I would layer potatoes and cabbage on top of the corned beef. Adding some salt to that. As the potatoes and cabbage were cooking I would baste some of the juices over them.

Sorry, but THIS St. Patrick's Day, we are doing it at the Wilderness in the Dells. Next wee, hmmmm, Oh Dennis & Shamrock Pub will work out just fine.
