$30,000 in Damages After Limo Bus Ransacked

A local limo-bus needs extensive repairs after it was broken into and ransacked, totaling $30,000 worth of damage.

Caledonia police say they were called on June 9 to the limousine service on E. Frontage Road for a report of vandalism and theft. When officers arrived, the owner of the business led them on a tour of damage to a limo-bus.

In addition to a golf-ball sized hole in the windshield, the perpetrators also cut the padlock that secured the vehicle.

Inside, leather seats had been removed and thrown about; a television was removed from it’s mount and smashed on the floor, the mirrored ceiling was cracked, the bathroom was missing its portable toilet; and several electronics – including the vehicle’s batteries – had been stolen.

The man told police the damage and theft occurred sometime after this last winter, and that the limo-bus had been parked in that spot for about two years.
