Update: Severe Thunderstorm Watch Called Off

We're still getting rain and maybe some thunderstorms but nothing severe.

Residents in Caledonia, Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant are no longer under a severe thunderstorm watch that was slated to last until 10 p.m. Monday.

Our media partners at WISN 12 News are reporting most of Southeast Wisconsin - including all of Racine County - was under the watch.

On the 6 p.m. newscast, WISN Meteorologist Luke Sampe announced that the National Weather Service has canceled the watch for our area, though we should still expect rain overnight with some thunder.

"(The) severe threat continues to sweep just south of us. WI/IL border communities need to be most weather aware," he said on Facebook. "(The) severe T-storm warning including the Chicago metro for 70 mph winds."
