CIrcles of Peace Closing Ceremony

Peace Learning Circles, a local nonprofit educational organization, has partnered with the Choral Arts Society of Southeastern Wisconsin to organize Circles of Peace, an eleven-day focus on non-violence from September 11-21. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of how we can better treat each other every day. The event will focus on respect, values, inclusion, unity and creating a safe place where everyone can live together in peace.

The closing ceremony will feature one of the highlights of Circles of Peace.  Usha Gandhi Gokani, granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi will be the keynote speaker at the closing ceremony.  Prasad Gollanapalli, a Gandhi Scholar will give a reflection. The topic will be:  What does it mean to be a peacemaker today.  The new, local Peace Mentors for Racine and Kenosha will also be announced.
