Racine AAUW: Infant Mortality in Racine

INFANT MORTALITY IN RACINE IS FOCUS OF APRIL RACINE AAUW MEETING:

A panel will discuss the work being done locally to address the problem of infant mortality in Racine at the Racine AAUW meeting on Tuesday, April 5, at the Racine Marriott, 7111 Washington Ave.

Members of the panel are Carole M. Johnson, Director of Local and Regional Community Programs  at The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread; Sharon Schulz, CEO of the Racine/Kenosha Community Action Agency; and Samantha J. Perry, Project Manager for the Greater Racine Collaborative for Healthy Birth Outcomes.

 

Registration is at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and program at 7:30 p.m.  The cost of the dinner is $19.00; the program can be attended free-of-charge.  To make a reservation, email aauwracine@hotmail.com .  March 29 is the reservation deadline.

 

In conjunction with the meeting, there will be an AAUW community baby shower with items going to local organizations.  Suggested donations include diapers, new infant clothing and baby blankets.
