Boo at the Zoo Scares Up a Good Time

Boo at the Zoo returns for a scary good time.

Goblins, ghosts and trick-or-treating amongst the animals, oh my!

Yes, dearies, it's time once again for Boo at the Zoo at the Racine Zoo, 200 Gould Street. Set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 26, this annual fun frightfest features trick-or-treating throughout the grounds, a Jungle Jay costume contest, spooky face painting, creepy cookie decorating, pumpkin decorating, photos taken in the haunted photo booth and more ... but the rest is a secret.

This year is extra special, though, because the zoo is partnering with the Bloodcenter of Wisconsin. All donors at select drives will receive a voucher for a BOGO (buy one, get one) admission to Boo at the Zoo. For those who can't make it to those select drive locations can still help others and help themselves to a good time; just mention the blood drive promotion to receive the voucher.

Participation in Boo at the Zoo is included with the price of regular admission.

Racine Zoo is open

Current hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is: Members and children under three free; children ages three to 16, $6; seniors, $7; and adults, $8. Racine County residents receive $1 off regular ticket prices with valid photo I.D.
