Kenosha's Mangia Wine Bar Announces its Opening

The newly remodeled Mangia Wine Bar will put more emphasis on casual dining.

(Kenosha, WI) – After undergoing a renovation in April, Tony Mantuano’s Mangia Trattoria in Kenosha will be re-opened as Mangia Wine Bar.

Located at 5717 Sheridan Road in Kenosha, the newly remodeled restaurant will provide guests with a more comfortable, relaxed dining experience, while still retaining its authentic Italian atmosphere. Mangia will be open to the public starting Friday, May 2nd at 5 p.m.

The biggest transformation is the new location for the wood-burning oven. The oven is now turned around, which will allow guests to watch their pizzas being cooked. Other renovations include a redesigned bar with expanded seating, a new sound system, free WiFi, the addition of two high-definition TVs, and a soft-serve ice cream machine, for some unique dessert flavors. Mangia will offer an Italian-inspired wine list, a craft cocktail menu and coffee drinks from their state-of-the-art espresso machine.

The menu developed by Executive Chef, Jason Gorman, features a greater focus on ingredients sourced directly from local farms. Inspired by the book, “Wine Bar Food” written by Tony & Cathy Mantuano, Mangia Wine Bar’s menu proposes casual to formal dining. “Having started out in a Trattoria almost 30 years ago, working with Tony Mantuano is like returning home,” said Gorman.
