Thanking the community

Historical Event a Smash Hit

Last weekend the Caledonia Historical Society held a two day "Caledonia Homecoming." I would like to thank all those who attended our event. The response of the public was overwhelming!

The historical time-line event could not have been possible without the Herculean efforts of our dedicated volunteers. Our historical society cannot begin to thank the talented young men from the Sturevant Transitional Facility. They completed work on our buildings over this past hot, dry summer. These men painted, cleaned, laid floors, restored a 19th century buggy and laid brick sidewalks.

To all the re-enactors, musicians, artisans and vendors, our gratitude is heartfelt.

The list would not be complete without a grand thank you to the Caledonia Patch and Racine Journal Times  for all the wonderful stories about the society's work on this historical site.

Thank you to all who participated in and those who attended our homecoming. The Caledonia Historical Society was privileged to introduce the public to our "little corner of history." Thank you again.
