2-Year-Old Boy Seriously Injured After Being Bitten By Relative's Dog
Youth taken to the hospital after a 12-year-old lab bit him in the face.
A 2-year-old boy suffered serious injuries to his face and was taken to Children’s Hospital after a relative’s dog bit the child, according to officials with the Caledonia Police Department.
Police and rescue personnel responded to the call at 4 p.m. Sunday in the 13000 Block of 4 Mile Road.
"The boy's injuries were pretty severe," said Lt. Gary Larsen, of the Caledonia Police Department. "And the child had to have surgery."

The owner of the 12-year-old lab has signed the paperwork to euthanize the dog, Larsen said.
The dog also bit the same child on the shoulder in July 2012, police said.
