Bicycles Stolen, Motor Home Ransacked, and Pick-up Truck Vandalized

  • A motor home was burglarized sometime between 5 p.m. Aug. 17 through 4:45 p.m. Aug. 23 at J&L Storage, According to a report by the , someone had gone into the motor home through the roof vent and had rifled through the contents inside it. Police also found a handwritten list of obscenities and a picture of male genitals on a piece of paper. The owner reported that a fire extinguisher was missing from inside the motor home, but nothing else had been taken. The damage is estimated at $2,500. 
  • A pick-up truck was vandalized sometime between 1 p.m. Aug. 18 and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at a residence located in the 3200 block of Morris Street. Someone spray painted a 1965 GMC pick-up truck. The damage is estimated at $500.
  • A mountain bike was taken sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Aug. 24 from a residence located in the 3400 block of Newman Road. The gray Giant Revel 1 bicycle was taken from a garage. The bicycle belonged to a boy, who had just gotten it as a birthday present. Police weren’t able to find the bicycle. The estimated value of the bicycle is $500.
  • A child’s bicycle was taken at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 25 on Lakeshore Drive at Paul Bunyan Road. The boy who owned the bicycle had taken it to and had left it in the grass. When they came out of the woods, it was gone. The bicycle is described as a 12-inch Jeep brand boy’s bike that is white with orange and black accents.
