Teens Threatened Following Trayvon Martin Verdict, Police Say

Emotions ran high after a Florida jury made the decision to acquit George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin shooting case, even here.

Emotions ran high after a Florida jury made the decision to acquit George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin shooting case, even here, according to a story in the Journal Times.
A group of black teens reportedly threatened several white teens outside Kmart, 5141 Douglas Avenue, just after the verdict on Saturday night.
Martin, a 17-year-old boy from Florida, was shot to death by George Zimmerman on Feb. 26, 2012. A jury acquitted Zimmerman of murdering Martin at 9 p.m. Saturday.
Three black teens, upset about the verdict, came up behind three white teens walking toward Speedway, telling them that they hate white people. One of the black teens then poked one of the white teens in the forehead, asking them why they shouldn't punch them, according to the story.
After the confrontation, the boys didn't report the incident until they got home at 11 p.m. Police searched for the teens that made the threats, but didn't find them. The investigation is ongoing.
