BREAKING NEWS: Caledonia Couple Arrested In Drug Raid

Law enforcement officials raid house, and find thousands of dollars and drugs in the home.

Law enforcement officials seized about 35 pounds of marijuana and over $14,000 in cash from a Caledonia couple’s home at 1607 Johnson Avenue.

Nicholas L Gilbert, 25, of Caledonia, and Jalissa Waldoch, 22, of Caledonia, were both charged with possession of marijuana, conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver, with intent to deliver, possession with intent to deliver narcotics, and maintaining a drug trafficking place. If convicted of all charges, Gilbert and Waldoch could serve up to 23 years in prison and/or could be fined up to $120,000.

According to the complaint, law enforcement from the West Allis Police Department, Racine County Metro Drug Unit and the United State Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search of Gilbert and Waldoch’s home on Wednesday. The couple had been under investigation for months after controlled substances had been bought from Gilbert and Waldoch several times. Police recovered the drugs, money and cell phones, which had a number of text messages that referred to Gilbert being in possession of pills for resale.

During the search, investigators found a shipping box with a California address and a drug-sniffing dog detected an odor of controlled substances being shipped within the box.

Gilbert and Waldoch are both being held on a $37,500 bail. A preliminary hearing has been set for 9 a.m. Sept. 1.
