BREAKING NEWS: Just Because Your Brother Is A Police Officer Doesn't Mean You Can...

Give Caledonia police a hard time when you've told them you were drunk and just trying to get home.

A man suspected of riding an ATV drunk was arrested and caused problems for him self after he became belligerent with police.

Paul Stecker, 30, of Caledonia, was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving (first offense) and operating a play vehicle on the road at 2:08 a.m. Sunday, July 3 on Seven Mile Road at Douglas Avenue.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, Stecker told police “he was drunk and trying to get home,” but his four-wheeler ran out of gas. After Stecker refused to finish taking a field sobriety test, he yelled profanities at the Caledonia Police officers and kept telling them his brother was a Sergeant with another police department.

Police arrested Stecker and took him to the hospital for a legal blood draw, but he told them “You can take my blood, but I am not going to like it.” He then refused to consent to the draw and Stecker yelled that he was “clinically insane” and started banging his head against the wall.

Two other police officers helped take him out of the hospital and into a paddy wagon to the Racine County Jail.
