BREAKING NEWS: Police Nab Man Who Had A Butcher Knife And Drugs

Neighbors said he looked suspicious.

A Caledonia man was charged with the Racine County District Attorney’s Office felony drug charges at 6:43 p.m. Friday, July 15.

Derek Lynn, 39, of Caledonia, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a switchblade, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic, with intent to deliver, and two counts of possession of possession of narcotics.

He was also charged with seven counts of bail jumping.

If convicted of all charges, Lynn faces up to 29 months in prison and fines up to $161,000.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, Lynn was sitting in his car, which was parked in the 4000 block of North Lane. Someone had called in saying the car looked suspicious. He had been sitting in the car with no shirt on and kept getting in and out of the car. Police saw an open switchblade in the car and called for backup.

When police searched the car, they found a butcher-type knife, a switchblade, and oxcodone, oxycontin, and suboxone in the car.

Lynn was arrested and police custody.
