Bullets Fly at Caledonia Apartment Complex After a Fight

A Racine man has been charged with reckless endangerment for firing shots, one of which went through a nearby home.

A Racine man has been charged with reckless endangerment for firing shots at an apartment complex on April 23 in Caledonia.

According to the criminal complaint, Rick Crain of Racine is charged with five counts of reckless endangerment for allegedly firing several shots at a vehicle in the 4300 block of Kennedy Drive in Caledonia after a fight.

Witnesses state that Crain, or "Macho," shot at their vehicle as they left an apartment complex after a fight between one of the occupants of the car, Michael Andresen, and a resident, Danial Pavia, of the apartment where Andresen had been keeping some of his belongings.

Andresen was reportedly intoxicated, but was not in an altercation with Crain, though witnesses, including Jessica Hubrich of Sturtevant who drove the car at which Crain was supposedly aiming, said Andresen and Crain are in rival gangs and don't get along.

If convicted, Crain faces up to 12 years, six months in jail and/or up to $25,000 in fines for each count. Crain has three misdemeanor convictions within the last five years so he faces an additional two years of jail time for each count if convicted of these new charges.
